Yesterday, my son and I claimed the 2 free tickets I won for the Philippine-Indonesia FIFA Friendlies Match happening today at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. I won the tickets from the official website of the Philippine Azkals a few days ago, and boy are we all excited to watch the game. Thanks again to Team Azkals for the free tickets!
Since we won only 2 tickets, we had to buy an extra ticket so all 3 of us can watch the game. After claiming the tickets from Ms. Andi at Starbucks Megastrip, we went straight to Ticketworld at National Bookstore Shangri-La to purchase another ticket.
We are expecting an action packed match with the comeback of Neil Etheridge, AFC Challenge Cup Golden Boot winner Phil Younghusband and brother James Younghusband. They did not play for the Philipines vs. Malaysia game last June 1 we wonder, and were surprised to find them present at the McDonald's Kiddie Crew Grand Graduation at the WTC last Saturday, June 2.
It gives us pride that last April, our country overtook Indonesia in the FIFA World Rankings, moving up to the 148th spot while Indonesia drops to 151. Now as the 2 teams clash again at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, we are sure to expect hard action from each team to win the game.
The Philippine squadlist for today's game is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Roland Muller, Eduard Sacapano and Neil Etheridge
Defenders: Dennis Cagara, Rob Gier, Juan Luis Guirado, Carlos Alberto de Murga, Bongbong Roxy Dorlas, Jerry Lucena, and Jason Sabio
Midfielders: Chieffy Caligdong, Paul Mulders, Manny Ott, Misagh Bahadoran, Patrick Gerry Anthony Reichelt, Jason De Jong, Marwin Janver Angeles, Lexton Moy, Jeffrey Christians, Angel Guirado and James Younghusband,
Strikers: Ian Araneta, Denis Wolf and Phil Younghusband
